- Preheate the oven to 350°F (180°C). In a medium saucepan, combine 1 cup (240 ml) of whole milk, 1 teaspoon of vanilla extract, and 1/2 teaspoon of vanillina.
- Bring the mixture to a simmer over medium heat, whisking occasionally.
- Add 1 cup (200 g) of granulated sugar and whisk until it’s fully dissolved.
- Remove the saucepan from the heat and let it cool slightly.
- Pour the mixture into a baking dish and sprinkle 1/2 teaspoon of baking soda on top.
- Bake for 30-40 minutes, or until the mixture turns a golden brown color and thickens into a creamy, caramel-like consistency.
- Remove from the oven and let it cool completely before refrigerating or using as desired.
